Pre—Wedding Ceremony
Day-01
Traditional Kerala hospitality greets & welcomes to couple whose marriage are being celebrated. Welcome arrangement includes “Thalapoli” (Girls dressed in traditional Kerala attire with lamps and flower garlands) along with cold towels and a welcome drink of tender coconut water.
Wedding party
begins in evening. It is celebrated with the wonderful flavor of a Kerala Temple Festival Theme Dinner. The wedding site is decorated like as a traditional Kerala temple festival with traditional Diyas (Holy & attractive flame) around the lagoon. Awe-inspiring set-up of elephant caparisons and traditional temple lamps delivers an amazing view. All the staff is uniformed in traditional Kerala attire.
Enjoy the delicious meals, which will be from the Travancore region of Kerala with a wide selection of Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian delicacies of that region. You will also enjoy some fun of Traditional Kerala entertainment such as “Mohiniattam”, “Kathakalli” and classical instrumental music. “Kuruthola” (Tender coconut leaves), is used to decorate the entire wedding venue. Indeed you will experience a traditional value of marriage with the essence of Kerala.
Day 02
Breakfast arrangement will be made on the Vembanad Lake with a traditional Syrian Christian Buffet. You can view villages of Kerala along the backwaters and cruise along the canals, while enjoying a sumptuous breakfast buffet on board.
Evening Attractions:
To offer you a pleasant and soothing evening of ceremony, the lakefront will be decorated to create a ‘Fishing Village’ theme. It would be in specially designed set, such as-
• Staff will be clothed in lungis, with white vests and headbands.
• Fishing nets settings at the lawns at various points.
• Buffet will be set in traditional thatched roof counters with lanterns and petromax lamps. The bar will be arranged in a form of toddy shop.
• Foods will be served in clay ware vessels and the coastal Kerala folk dance arrangement will be done for evening entertainment along with wedding procession.
Exclusively for bride and the bridegroom:
Special arrangement of traditional herbal oil followed by a sandalwood face pack is offered.
The Wedding Ceremony
Welcome methodology is unique, as the traditional Kerala music (like the Panchavadyam) is played at the entrance. All the guests are welcomed by little girls dressed in traditional Kerala outfits. The Pandal of wedding ceremony is decorated in traditional finery, in presence of the priest to conduct the wedding, “Nadaswaram” (traditional Kerala wedding music).
Post—Wedding Ceremony
Customary Kerala “Sadhya” served on a banana leaf with 13 different types of curries and condiments. Arrangement of photography and wedding video is provided throughout the function and also during the post wedding ceremony. Couple will trip down towards river and will ride on a decorated country boat, which is the tradition of Kumarakom. You will also enjoy travel on a moving luxury Houseboat, with capacity of 10 couples or additional capacity if required.
Wedding Night
Enjoy a romantic island dinner, specially designed for the Couple in the center of the lagoon. You will have choice of spending the wedding night on a Luxury Houseboat or in a Deluxe Cottage. The rooms are elegantly decorated with flowers. You will be provided a complimentary fruit basket and a bottle of champagne on your arrival at Houseboat/ Cottage.
Day 03
Morning greeting with Special Champagne breakfast after the wedding ceremony. Accommodation arrangement is offered to Couple for three nights in a Harbor facing room. Couple will receive a special traditional welcome drink on arrival and dinner on cruiser while it cruises around the backwaters of Cochin.
Guests Accommodations
Accommodation arrangement for the guests is made for two nights with a welcome drink, half day of sightseeing, shopping at Jewtown, a cruise down the Cochin backwaters.
