Chellarkovil is a small, picturesque village located at a distance of 15 km from Kumily, Idukki. Like most parts of Kerala, Chellarkovil too displays abundant natural beauty, with numerous waterfalls, lush green landscape and scenic mountain views being its chief attractions. The village gradually slopes down to neighboring Tamilnadu states Cumbum region which is famous for its coconut groves.
