Climate & Best time to Visit

This coastal distict experiences a tropical climate which is devoid of extremeties all through the year. The maximum temperature during summers is upto 35 degrees which falls to 18 degrees in winters. Monsoon extending from May to September witnesses heavy rainfall.

Due to best climate conditions and passing away of monsoons, October to February is regarded as the best time to visit Ernakulam.

By Rali: The district has an efficeint railway network with three railheads situated here, namely Fort Cochin, Ernakulam Junction and Ernakulam Town.
