Day-01:Cochin – Munnar
On your arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway station, you will be warmly welcomed by our Kerala Backwater tour representative. After your arrival, your transfer arrangement will be made to Munnar (135 KM -4.30 hrs). Munnar is south India's highest peak (Anamudi- 2695mts). You can enjoy seeing beautiful streams, small water falls, Rubber, Pepper cardamom and Tea plantations and thick forests, throughout the journey. On arrival at Munnar, your check-in arrangement will be made at hotel in Munnar. Take some rest after this long journey. Visit tea estates in evening and stay overnight at the hotel in Munnar.



Day 02:Munnar
Take morning breakfast and you are at Munnar for one more day because there are many more things to see the natural beauty of this place. Our representative will be with you for full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. You will see Eravikulam National Park, Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hylcrious), the mountain goat of South India, Mattupatty dam, mind-blowing hills sleeping under green carpet (Tea Gardens), Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, & Tea Plantation. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Your overnight stay arrangement will be made at hotel in Munnar.



Day 03:Munnar – Periyar
Check out from Hotel after morning breakfast and our Kerala Backwater tour representative will drive you to Thekkady (120 KM / 4 Hrs). You can enjoy your this drive by seeing panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations and occasional view of water falls and streams. Your check-in arrangement will be made in hotel on your arrival at Thekkady. Take some rest. At evening, you can see and experience the exceptional view of calm crystal clear Periyar Lake. Your overnight stay arrangement will be made at hotel in Thekkady.



Day 04:Periyar
You are at Periyar for one more days because there are many more things to explore at Periyar. Take morning breakfast and get fun of natural beauty at Periyar. Morning boating will give you a soothing experience of fun. You will see Periyar wild life sanctuary (which is one of the largest wildlife reserves in India famous for black elephant); wildlife includes gaur, wild dogs, otters, freshwater tortoise and bird species like heroin, kingfisher, hornbill, water and fishbowls. Afternoon visit will be of spice plantations. Come back for an overnight stay at the Hotel in Thekkady.



Day 05 :Periyar – Kumarakom
Check out from Hotel after morning breakfast and you will be drive to Kumarakom (145 KM / 4 Hrs) on your fifth day of Kerala Backwater tour. Check-in to the hotel on arrival at Kumarakom and after some rest visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. At evening, go for Sunset cruise (optional) or enjoy the beauty of backwater by just relaxing near Vembanadu Lake or enjoy your free time. Overnight stay arrangement will be at the hotel in Kumarakom.



Day 06 :Kumarakom- Houseboat
Check out from Hotel after morning breakfast and you will be drive to Houseboat at early morning. Check in at houseboat. Your sixth day of Kerala Backwater leisure is on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat travels through the narrow serene backwater canals. Enjoy Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, and dinner on Houseboat and take pleasure in your evening on the sundeck away from polluted cities and maddening crowd. Evening climate is awe-inspiring. Enjoy a mind blowing overnight stay on House Boat.



Day 07 :Houseboat – Alleppey (Alappuzha)
Check out from houseboat after morning breakfast and you will be drive for Alleppey where you will be check in at hotel. Alleppey is identified as ‘Venice of the East’ because of the narrow canals and backwaters. It is one of the beautiful backwater houseboats places in the world. Alleppey, presently known as ‘Alappuzha’ is famous for the annual Nehru Trophy Snake Boat race held here every year, around the festival of Onam (second Saturday of August on every year). Enjoy seeing a unique crisscrossing network of canals & lagoons on which thatch covered country boats punt (houseboats) along leisurely. Overnight stay arrangement will be at the hotel in Alleppey.



Day 08 :Alleppey – Cochin (Departure)
Check out from Hotel after morning breakfast and your transfer arrangement will be made to Cochin (70 KM /2 Hrs). On the last day of Kerala Backwater tour, you can see some attractive spots of Cochin in limited time. You can enjoy Cochin city tour by visiting St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace. Later you will be transferred to airport/ Railway Station to connect flight or train for onward destination. Enjoy the sweet memories of your wonderful Kerala Backwater tour.
